Bruins top prospect David Pastrnak left the ice early during Saturdays morning practice. According to the Bruins Blog, Pastrnak went into the boards about a half-hour into Saturdays skate, before skating to the locker room. He did not return. Pastrnak, 18, was the Bruins first-round selection at the 2014 NHL Draft. A six-foot Czech right winger, he put up eight goals and 16 assists in 36 games with Sodertalje of Swedens second division in 2013-14. He had been skating alongside fellow Czech David Krejci as well as winger Matt Fraser before leaving the session. Bruins coach Claude Julien said after practice that Pastrnak tweaked his shoulder. According to a tweet from the Bruins official Twitter account, Julien doesnt think its serious but said hes "very, very doubtful for Sundays scrimmage". Pastrnak was recently named the Bruins top prospect by TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button. "Hes very smart and anticipates opportunity where he can threaten," Button said of Pastrnak in TSN.cas Bruins season preview. "He also has very good quickness in his skating and is capable of beating out defenders to space. And with his quick hands he can get a shot off quickly or make a deft pass in traffic. Hossa made it 3-2 when he scored with 41 seconds remaining in the second period. Hossa intercepted a pass at the Ottawa blue-line, cut through two defencemen and squeezed the puck past Anderson. Ottawa had made it 3-0 just 23 seconds into the second as Michalek tipped in a shot off a pass from Spezza. "I thought we had a little more confidence," added MacArthur. "I thought overall we had a little lapse and those are going to happen, but we answered back in the third which is big and I thought our (defencemen) moved the puck a lot better, especially in the third when we were under pressure." The Senators held a 2-0 lead after the first 20 minutes. Condra made it 1-0, scoring shorthanded midway through the first. And Ceci made it 2-0 in the final minute of the period as he scored from just inside the blue line.
