Victorino was hurt while running the bases during Saturdays spring training finale against Minnesota in Florida and returned to Boston for tests. He hit .250 during 10 spring games. The 33-year-old veteran batted a career-best .294 with 15 homers and 61 runs batted in last season, his first with the Red Sox. Boston has recalled outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. from Triple-A Pawtucket to fill the roster spot.
